Lantau Island Getaway

Lantau Island Getaway

Escape the city for a full day of calm and natural beauty.

Start in Tai O’s traditional fishing village — stilt houses over the water, a relaxing boat ride through the canals, and the chance to spot pink dolphins. Taste simple, authentic village food along the way.

Then we head up to Ngong Ping to visit the majestic Big Buddha and the peaceful Po Lin Monastery.

End the day with a scenic ride in a crystal cable car, floating over mountains and sea with breathtaking views.

Slow, serene, and beautifully different — this is the other side of Hong Kong.

Itinerary

7 hours; 6 hours with private transportation.  1-6 persons.  Guide fee: 600HKD or 80USD per hour.

Tai O Fishing Village

Step into an authentic, rustic fishing village — stilt houses over water, friendly locals who’ll chat you up like family. Wander tiny shops for fresh snacks, dried seafood, or quirky souvenirs.

[Optional] Salted Egg and/or Mochi Workshop

Join a local auntie in her simple kitchen — hands-on making salted eggs or chewy mochi. Easy, fun, and you get to eat (or take home) what you make. Feels like family cooking, but better.

Boat Ride Through The Canal

Glide along the canal — stilt houses hugging the water on both sides. Paddle out to the open sea, wind whipping your face. If we're lucky, a Chinese white dolphin pops up.

Food Sampling/ Traditional Fisherman-style Lunch/ Food You Choose

Walk through vibrant stalls bursting with colorful flowers- a joyful, fragrant explosion of local life.

Ngong Ping & Tian Tan Big Buddha

The world’s biggest seated bronze Buddha — climb the steps for a mind-clearing moment (or take a quick ride up if legs say no). Feels spiritual, not showy — like the mountain’s saying “relax”.

Po Lin Monastery

Beautifully serene grounds, elegant courtyards, and majestic Buddha hall, and the breathtaking Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall — a place where you feel calm, and touched by spiritual beauty.

Ngong Ping Cable Car Ride

Float down in a cable car — mountains, sea, islands all around. Scared of heights? Go normal cabin. Want wow? Crystal Cabin with glass floor — views that’ll make you forget gravity.

"We'll laugh, chat, and explore at your pace, with stories only someone who truly lives here can share. A day in my city- real Hong Kong and that "I get it now" feeling."
